Yesterday I made Homemade Pumpkin and Oatmeal Dog Treats for the pups…
Don’t they look excited? They loved them!
The recipe I used made a huge batch of treats and I didn’t want to make that many because I have little pups, so I only made half, leaving me with a lot of leftover pumpkin.

After bidding farewell to Drake Bay, we took a boat, then a bus to Uvita. It was hot and I was miserable. But I was still on cloud 9 thinking about how excited I was to be engaged to such an incredible man.
The hotel we planned on staying at was closed, but we ended up finding a very eco-friendly and quant hippie hostel which was inundated with young, hippie (American) travelers. I fit right in. 🙂

Hola! We are back from Costa Rica and I hope y’all haven’t forgotten about me because I haven’t forgotten about you! In fact, I thought about you a lot during my time in Central America – when I was eating incredible food and when I was hiking through the cloud forest, I thought about how much I couldn’t wait to share my experiences with y’all! So, on that note, it’s good to be back. 🙂 I can’t wait to share some of our pictures – which I promise to soon!
But first, I want to share with you some wonderful news…
Drum roll please…

Hello. Sorry I’ve been M.I.A. lately. If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you already know that I was in West Virginia over the holiday weekend, and then I was hit by the plague as soon as we arrived home early Tuesday morning (early as in 1:00am) – not even joking…
Oh, and if you don’t follow me on Twitter and Facebook, what the heck are ya waiting for?! 😉 Get. On. It.
Anywaaaays, today is Day 3 of what I’ve deemed Mandy’s Solitary Confinement and the good news is, I am finally starting to feel like a human being again. The bad news is, it took 1.5 boxes of Kleenex, 1 bag of Ricola cough drops, 1 carton of Florida’s finest orange juice, 2 liters of Gatorade, a few Green Smoothies, lots of T.L.C. from Bryan (along with avoidance), and close to 40 hours of sleep to get there. Hey, I don’t fall often, but when I fall, I fall hard.

Happy Sunday. Boy does it feel good to talk to you. This may sound silly but I miss y’all when I go a few days without talking to you. It also doesn’t help that Bryan is still gone…
Perhaps I’m going a little cuckoo?
Don’t worry, he gets back in 8 days. But until then…you’re stuck with me. Mwhahahahha.

My quinoa kick continues…
It’s been a very busy week for me – I’ve been trying to stay busy while Bryan is gone (this is my solution for making the time go by faster). And yes, y’all will be happy to know that I have accomplished four out of five things on my Things I want to Accomplish list:
Reading: I’m currently reading Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. Sadly, I started this book awhile ago and never have finished it, so I made it a point to finish it a.s.a.p!
Has anybody else read this book? Thoughts???

It’s been a “ruff” week in our household…
It started Tuesday night when Buddy began projectile vomiting…
(If you hate vomit stories, now is the time to stop reading…but don’t worry…the story has a happy ending. And who doesn’t love a good happy ending?)
Bryan came home Tuesday night to a large pile of vomit on the couch – he was kind enough to send me a picture.
